Kimber helps people to achieve their vision of financial independence with a process that coordinates the three phases of wealth management: accumulation, protection, and distribution. His clients benefit from having a partner who understands who they are and what they want. More than anything, he helps them to manage their "investor behavior" in way that allows them to take advantage of opportunities while avoiding the big mistakes many investors make and helps them to realize their personal goals.
Drawing on 26 years' experience, Kimber has helped hundreds of families and individuals make sense of the opportunities they have in a very complex world of financial products, information, and strategies, helping them to achieve “human” and “real life” returns. He also helps trustees manage their fiduciary responsibilities efficiently and ethically and consults with businesses that are committed to helping their employees through employer-sponsored retirement plans. Kimber achieved the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 1999. He has a BS from Murray State University, where he was a finance major, and has the FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities registrations as an Investment Adviser Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®. He is also licensed for life, long-term care, and disability insurance.
Kimber was a board member of the Brentwood Cool Springs Chamber of Commerce from 2009 through 2011, during which time he chaired several committees, including the annual Golf Classic and Small Business Roundtable. He is also a 2011 graduate of the Leadership Brentwood program and is a member of the Leadership Brentwood Alumni Association. From 2004 through 2007, he chaired the Tennessee American Business Ethics Awards, a program recognizing local businesses and benefiting Character Counts! Nashville, and was active in the Nashville Business Forum 2011-2015.
Kimber enjoys the outdoors with hiking, backpacking, and paddling as favorite activities. He also enjoys cooking, particularly the outdoor kind over real charcoal. The Nasvhille Predators' matches and endless yard work (a labor of love) are additional interests. Kimber resides in the West Meade area of Nashville with his wife of 33 years, Cheri. Their family includes two daughters, Diana, 29 (University of Tennessee graduate and running her own Public Relations business locally) and Chrissy, 26 (Mississippi State graduate currently serving in U. S. Army).
